Carnations abstract flowers paintings by contemporary artist Monica Fallini

Hi everyone!  It has been a busy month!
I’m back posting some new paintings…
I was working on a new series of pieces based on memories of my grandmother’s garden from my childhood.
She had a beautiful garden and se grew the plants and flowers herself, she spent several hours every week working in the garden.  I grew up by her side and helped her in the garden also.

Now, I’m trying to remember all the beautiful flowers and paint them on the canvas the way I remember them and the arrangement of plants in the garden.

Those magical moments with her in her garden are great source of inspiration for all my flower paintings!

13046 – A group of pink Carnations in a landscape seemed to be made of paper.  I paid a lot of attention to the detail of the texture made with acrylics, specially the intricate texture of the flowers.

Hi everyone!
I am back with some paintings of Poppies!
This time I worked on 2 landscapes of fields of Poppies with lots of texture in oils, working mostly with palette knife thick impasto.

Then, I worked on 2 pieces made with acrylics using pearl pigments that I really enjoy working with I love the pearl-satin effect on the colors when I use the pigments.

And last but not least, this wonderful arrangement of red Poppies in this oil painting, I applied oil colors and gold oil pigments!  The predominant colors in this piece are:
